20070805d_IsabelaUrbinaBay_IguanasSparring Land Iguanas in a Standoff

There was some grunting and a couple of short threatening dashes in this minor skirmish over territory. This area was uplifted during volcanic activity, leaving coral reefs exposed and now eroded, along with a forest of mangroves that died when they rose above water level. The island has had major problems with feral animals, particularly donkeys, goats, and cats (we saw a dead cat by the side of the trail).
