walking from the pyramids to the Sphinx. Along the way we bought a small model
of the pyramids and sphinx, made from sand and glue(?), for $1 from one of the
unrelenting hawkers that swarmed around every tourist site. Although this
got to be very irritating, it's worth bearing in mind that for many of them
this is the way they make their meager living.

camel.
