Sarah continues her world tour of Roman
toilets (see this one
from 2005). These latrines were located near the
seaward public baths. They originally had running water to carry away
wastes, and
the little trough at Sarah's feet was used to rinse the personal cleansing
brushes that people carried with them. Notice the huge number of columns
in the background.
