This beautiful row of columns stands between the marketplace and the theater. They are not sure what this area was used for. Unlike most columns at Leptis Magna, these are made of granite and are therefore much less weathered than others. Both Leptis Magna and Sabratha were largely buried in sand for hundreds of years, which helped to preserve them.
