taken at 10:37am local
time, shortly before the eclipse began. Note: my camera is good quality
digital but is not designed for taking high-detail images under these
conditions, and my "filter" consisted of holding my disposable eclipse
glasses over the camera lens. So although my photos show the basics,
you'll need to look elsewhere if you want more professional-quality
images of the sun. Links to some other Travelquest tour members' photos

I also found a photo taken by Mike Comberi
of NASA which is displayed on his Web site;
it shows sunrise
that morning, with
the face of the moon completely shadowed just above it. Mr. Comberi tells
me that the photo is genuine; he just enhanced the contrast on the moon
to make it more noticeable.
