Venice Eastern Waterfront On the way to the northern islands. The church in this view is San Pietro di Castello, on its own little island. Dale, Matthew, and I visited it the day before. It has a pleasant grassy area at the front where we ate a picnic lunch. Supposedly it has lovely gardens behind, but we could not find any way through to them.
