20120530k_TorcelloLastJudgementMosaic Torcello Mosaics

This mosaic wall, at the opposite end of the church, shows the Last Judgement in amazing detail. The different sections of the mosaic represent different scenes from Revelations, groups of people of varying virtue, and of course Heaven and the flaming pits of Hell (the latter almost completely hidden at lower right). I had to be sneaky to take this one so couldn't get zoom shots.
