A lovely view from the inner courtyard,
looking back through the central colonnade toward the entrance. Notice the
columns on the very sides of the photo: they
are fluted rather than smooth. Our guide told us this was a design that
was reintroduced by Hatshepsut. Also, the central set of columns is shaped
differently than those at Karnak, with straight sides rather than slightly
rounded.
