The view down toward the Nile from the mid-level terrace. Notice the taftafs (shuttle carts) at the temple entrance, which take you to and from the main gate. Also notice the narrow strip of green along the river, and the stark boundary between farmed land and the desert; it was like this everywhere we saw.
