After lunch, Sarah and Matthew did some
catching up on their homework. (Due to the timing of the eclipse, they
were missing two weeks of school, right after spring break week, too.)
We moved three of our chairs
into the small amount of shade at the side of one of our tents. I read my book
while they worked. While we were there, I noticed a plump speckled quail
running along the "street". She ran right by the gentleman across the way who
was likewise sitting in the shade of his tent reading.
