Ponte Vecchio, Florence The famous old bridge over the Arno River, with shops and apparently even some houses along it. This used to be a common thing, although it's considerably more touristy now. The windows along the top line a corridor built in 1564 so that the Grand Duke could walk from his palace across the river to his offices at the Uffizi without being exposed to the public.
