Sarah and Matthew outside our two assigned tents. This tent city was set up about 50 miles south of Jalu, so it took about an hour to get there. The tents were
spartan but comfortably arranged, with woven plastic mats, two single mattresses, two new sleeping bags, two new pillows, and two of those ubiquitous plastic chairs. It was a very cool experience to spend two nights in a tent in the Sahara.
